  • If you are creating your website, then there are certain words that, when a person searches them on Google Search Engine, your website can rank — these words are called keywords.

  • Whenever we do keyword research for a business website, the first thing we need to keep in mind is that the keywords should be related to our business.

  • For example, if your business or website is about digital marketing, would you want your site to appear when someone is searching for web development? Of course not. 

  • Even if the person visits your website, they won’t convert because the content won’t provide the information they’re looking for, and they’ll exit the site. That’s because the keywords they searched don’t match your page’s content.

  • So, keywords should always be related to your business or website.
  • The words that people type into Google — those are called keywords.





Types Of Keyword


Thare Are Two Types Of Keyword

      1. Short Tail Keyword

  • Short-tail keywords are 1 to 2 words long and are highly searched on search engines. However, short-tail keywords have high competition, which makes it a bit difficult for a new website to rank for them.

     2. Long Tail Keyword

  • Long-tail keywords are made up of more than 2 words, or you can say typically 4 to 5 words. Compared to short-tail keywords, they have less competition, which increases the chances of your website ranking in search engines results.
